Police in Tororo are investigating circumstances under which a junior officer shot dead his boss.
The deceased has been identified as IP OKWELE MOSES the officer in charge of Petta police post Petta Sub County in Tororo district.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect has been identified as NO.23882 Sgt Ochom William Francis attached to the same police post of Petta police.
According to police, the incident happened after Ochom having a small quarrel with his boss and lost his temper which resulted into shooting Okwele four times in the stomach.
The suspect was admitted to Tororo General Hospital after sustaining wounds on the legs where he died from.
The body of the deceased was conveyed to Tororo main hospital for postmortem.
Tororo district CID D/SP Batumwa Charles confirmed the incident adding that inquiries into the matter are still ongoing.
