Unidentified motorist sadly struck and killed a 51-year-old pedestrian at Kyobugombe Trading Center along the Kabale-Mbarara highway, and police in Kabale District are presently searching for the culprit.
The incident took place at the Kyobugombe Trading Center in Kabale district, and the driver left the car on the scene.
According to Elly Maate, a spokesman for the Kigezi Region police, Kanyarutokye Johnson, 51, of Kayorero village in Kaharo sub-county of Kabale district, the victim, died instantaneously as a result of the incident.
Maate said that the implicated car was a Mitsubishi Fuso with the license plate UAN 393Z.
Maate said that on August 22, 2023, at 9:00 AM, the accident happened near the Kyobugombe Trading Center on the Kabale-Mbarara highway.
