A terrible occurrence involving a motor vehicle suspect hanging himself in a police cell has occurred in Yumbe district.
While investigations are ongoing, the policemen on duty and the person who reported the incident OC Lodonga police station, No. 22797 Sgt Ondia Jovan have been detained.
Adebuga Siragi, a 34-year-old peasant who lived in Yumbe district’s Odokibo cell, Iba ward, Lodonga town council, has been identified as the dead.
According to the police record, the deceased was taken into custody on 3rd December 2023, at around 10:00 a.m., on suspicion of stealing a motorcycle, according to Lodonga CRB 83/2023.

When the reporter (OC) went to check on the cells as usual at approximately 8:00 p.m., he discovered that the dead had hung him with a blanket that he had attached to the roofing timber.
In order to await the coroner’s involvement, a group of police officers headed by the OC station made a visit to the murder scene.
