President Museveni’s RDC suspended after assaulting washing bay worker

President Museveni’s Deputy Resident District Commissioner (DRDC) in Luuka district, Mr. Paul Waiswa, also known as Bwenibwamwiko, is now in hot soup after allegedly beating up an individual identified as Abudallah Kisige in a video clip circulating on social media platforms.

DRDC Waiswa in this clip is seen beating and heard slapping a nonviolent slim youth sitting on a stationary motorcycle.

It is alleged that the boy undermined the DRDC’s orders to wash his vehicle, leading to the fight.

The incident happened at the weekend at a washing bay located in Kiyunga Town Council Luuka district where the determined presidential representative lost his temper against the car-wash man who never touched his (Waiswa) body.

According to allegations, the washing bay where Mr. Waiswa had taken his vehicle to get clean has a car washing machine donated by the Luuka North legislator Luke Kyobe for young men to earn a living.

The boys who claim the machine broke down and resorted to turning their support to another candidate eyeing the same constituency, whose representative (Kyobe) is a longtime “buddy” to the DRDC.

“Where is the machine. Have you ever washed my car? You must wash it today,” speaks angry Waiswa in the video, accusing the boys of not using the donated machine to clean his vehicle.

In a letter signed by Hajji Kakande Yunus the Secretary, Office of the President, suspended Mr. Waiswa Paul from duty as Deputy Resident District Commissioner-Luuka with immediate effect.

The letter also ordered Mr.Waiswa to prepare his written defense regarding the allegation as contained in Mr Kisige’s written complaint.

The defense should reach the secretary, Office of the President within 14 days.
