On suspicion of torturing child, a 27-year-old woman was detained and is now being held at Luwero Central Police Station.
On August 15, the incident took place in the Luwero district’s Kiyenje zone.
The mother, named as Nampima Aisha, reportedly subjected her own 4-year-old daughter, Nakalungi Shanizi Nambooze, to terrible torture in front of nearby neighbors, according to reports.
The defendant allegedly burnt, stomped, and abused the youngster while accusing her of stealing meat.
The locals informed Zimula Salim, the area councilwoman, who then called the police.
The youngster was being transferred to Kasana Hospital when the culprit was arrested, where she is now receiving treatment and being watched over.
