Rtd Col. Dr. Kiiza Besigye Kifefe, the former leader of the opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party, has encouraged Ugandans and religious leaders to pray for their nation, as corruption among the government officials is tearing the social fabric apart.
Dr. Kizza Besigye made the comments yesterday at the Alpha and Omega Church’s thanksgiving service in the Bugangari Sub County’s Bahairweomugisha cell, which has served for two years.

According to Dr. Besigye, corruption is now pervasive in Uganda and is to blame for the country’s subpar infrastructure development, which prevents its inhabitants from receiving the promised services from the government.
