
Ernest Baribusa, the diocesan education coordinator for the diocese of Kigezi, has left his position after reaching the obligatory retirement age of 65.
Rev. Oscar Mwesigwa, the diocesan inspector of schools, has succeeded Babirusa, who held the position of diocesan education coordinator for four years.
The diocesan Bishop Rt Rev Gaddie Akanjuna gave a speech at the departure ceremony that was held at the diocesan headquarters at Rugarama hill in Kabale municipality.praising Baribusa as a person who had a passion for work and served faithfully.
Diocesan employees were urged by Bishop Akanjuna to adopt his attitude of humility and cooperation.

In his remarks, Baribusa thanked the diocesan staff for their cooperation and camaraderie while he served as the diocesan education coordinator.
In order to raise the educational standards in schools during his term, Rev. Mwesigwa vowed complete dedication and cooperation with the diocesan stakeholders and the team of school administrators.

During his career, Babirusa held the positions of district education officer in Rukungiri, commissioner in the office of the prime minister, and head teacher for 23 years at a number of secondary schools.
