One of the ways Radio Rukungiri staff and RUSACCO encouraged people to attend the event known as “EKIRIGIME KYA RADIO RUKUNGIRI SILVER JUBILEE” was by holding a massive friendly football game at St. Paul’s stadium Kazindiro in Bugangari Sub County Rukungiri district on Sunday, August 6, 2023.

The Chief guest and owner of 96.9FM Radio Rukungiri, Hon. Maj. Gen. Jim Katugugu Muhwezi, was represented by the Rukungiri Resident District Commissioner (RDC), who presided over the game.

RDC Nsubuga commended Minister Jim Muhwezi for supporting sports in his sermon to the audience, saying that it helps people, especially young people; develop their abilities, which later become a source of money and employment.

Nsubuga congratulates the residents of Rumbura Constituency for electing Minister Muhwezi in the general elections of 2021, pointing out that their efforts to cast their votes are now being felt via improved service delivery, and he implores them to do the same in the next 2026 general elections if they want to see their community prosper.
