In response to an article published on this website about delays in construction at Kyaburere Primary School in Bugangari Sub County Rukungiri district, the contractor accelerated his work and completed the structure’s roofing.
The construction of a two-classroom block at a cost of Ugx. 95.36 million was the scope of the contract issued to Kinombe Nyaruzinga Constructions Company Limited by Rukungiri district authorities to carry out the work at the school in October of last year, though work on the project began in December 2023.
Speaking with our reporter after observing the project’s progress yesterday Thursday, the director of Kinombe Nyaruzinga Construction Company Limited disclosed that, now that the roofing has been completed, floor work will begin, with the assurance that the structure will be handed over to the school for use in two weeks only.

The PTA chairperson for Kyaburere Primary School, Besasira Pio, stated that the work being done is of high quality, and as parents and stakeholders of the school, they are thrilled that the government is building such a stunning facility at their school for the first time.
Another parent at the school, Silver Twinobusingye, reported that the job is moving along well and thanked the contractor for finishing the work so quickly.
