Residents of Rukungiri district have been urged to maintain good hygiene since it is the main source of many diseases affecting the community.

The call was made yesterday Wednesday by the Rukungiri Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Nsubuga Bewayo Stephen during the handover of emergency basic life support ambulances to Bugangari Health Centre IV, in Bugangari Sub County Rukungiri district.

The Rukungiri district officials handed over the ambulance on behalf of Minister Jim Muhwezi the Rujumbura County Member of Parliament who lobbied it from the ministry of health.

Speaking to the congregation, RDC Bewayo said that maintaining proper cleanliness in communities and families is essential to preventing diseases that have an impact on a family’s ability to earn a living and grow.

According to RDC Nsubuga, individuals should make full use of government-donated equipment for its intended purposes, like as mosquito nets, to prevent malaria.

Rukungiri residents, according to RDC Bewayo, are fortunate to have Minister Jim Muhwezi, who shares the national cake with President Museveni urging them to hold onto his position in order to receive improved services from the government.
