The Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese Rt. Rev. Onesimus Asiimwe has advised youth to guard against early sexual behaviours that yield no results, but endangers their life at a tender age.
Bishop Onesimus was yesterday Thursday speaking to more than 1800 youth at the closure of three-day youth conference hosted by Kashenyi Archdeaconry in Ruhinda Sub-county, Rukungiri district.
While addressing the youth, Bishop disclosed that the Church has engaged these youth on spiritual matters, but they also need to know more about sexuality.
He denounced the alarming practice of parents and relatives having improper connections with their daughters.
Bishop Asiimwe also urged the young to promote unity for the progress of the church and the gospel of Christ, warning them against engaging in discrimination and tribalism.
The purpose of these youth conferences, according to Ven. James Busigye, the Archdeacon of Kashenyi Archdeaconry, is to help young people get back on the right track as they get ready to go back to school.
