After receiving a contribution of thirty bags of cement from Hon. Dr. Elisa Rutahigwa, the Member of Parliament for Rukungiri municipality, the Christians of Rwemishura Catholic Church in Kahororo cell, Karangaro Ward in the Western division of the municipality have cause for celebration.
The MP’s donated sacks of cement are intended to help the church finish the ongoing renovation.
When Hon. Dr. Rutahigwa visited the church and learned that they needed assistance to complete the house of God, he promised to donate 30 bags of cement needed and iron sheets to roof the whole portion that was still under construction.
But today Tuesday, Hon. Rutahigwa’s political assistant, Mr. Byarugaba Micheal, delivered the contribution on his behalf, and it was warmly accepted.
As he gave the church cement, Byarugaba praised them for their audacious idea and gave them his word that he would support any future initiatives that would further the church’s growth.
Byarugaba continued, saying that Hon. Rutahigwa is keeping his word to bring services closer to his constituents, as he disclosed during the 2021 general election.
He asked Christians to continue pushing for more accessible services by supporting their area member of parliament in 2026.

Rutahigwa has made to advocate for improvements in a number of areas, including infrastructure, health, and education, are more valuable in a two and a half year than they were in a decade when they were represented in Parliament by an opposition party.

According to Primah Kemirembe, a Christian from the Rwemishura Catholic Church, Hon. Rutahigwa improved their road during his tenure, which previously made it more difficult for them to access services like markets and hospitals.
As a result, Christians need to give him credit come 2026 to back him in Parliament of Uganda.
