The Rt Rev Gaddie Akanjuna, bishop of the diocese of Kigezi, has today urged Christians to support government programs such as PDM in order to reduce poverty in their households.
During a service at Kagarama COU Parish in Hamuhambo town council Rubanda district, Bishop Akanjuna confirmed 141 comfirmants into the Anglican religion.
Bishop Akanjuna praised Uganda’s government for the wonderful programs it brings on board, such as PDM and Emyooga, and urged Christians to embrace them as a means of eradicating poverty in their homes.
He recommended Christians to make effective use of their backyards by planting eggplant, tomatoes, and onions, which may help them save money from market vendors.
He also encouraged Christians to participate in government programs like as PDM by organizing groups depending on household income to boost their development.
