Gulu DRDC urges parents, teachers and guardians to protect children’s rights

Cosmas James Okidi, the deputy resident district commissioner for Gulu, has said that children’s rights and protection are essential for their overall development.

He spoke on the difficulties faced by youngsters in the nation at the function, which was held at Paicho Primary School in Paicho Sub County in the Gulu district.

Okidi said so recently when he presided over the day for African youngsters, which was organized with support from the local district commissioner Charles Ichogor.

He claimed that meeting the basic requirements of children is a major responsibility that must be addressed seriously by parents, schools, and the society.

Every year on June 16th, the nation as a whole observes this day, and the theme of this year was “The right of a child in digital environment” this year.

He stated that the district will collaborate to ensure that the children’s futures are safeguarded and that they have the necessities. The administration has made significant efforts to safeguard children’s futures, he continued.

Hon. Mp. Wokorach Simon Peter, the secretary of social services, LCV Christopher Opio Rwot Paicho, numerous partners from the LCIIIs Gulu district, teachers, parents, students among others were present.
