The security Minister and the Rujumbura County Member of Parliament Rtd. Maj. Gen. Jim K Muhwezi has asked the school parents of Kahoko primary school in Kahoko parish Nyakagyeme sub- county Rukungiri district to invest their little earning into coffee growing if they are to support the education of their children.
In his speech that was read by the Rukungiri district chairperson Geoffrey Kyomukama at the school’s fundraising ceremony that took place over the weekend at the school grounds, Minister Muhwezi said coffee is a high valve cash crop that takes short time to mature thus giving quick money to farmers that will enable them support the education of their children.

The minister also urged old students to never stop advocating for their former institutions when the government steps in to help them flourish.

The goal of this fundraising, according to school administrators Venansi Bakazaagwa and Kanahi Livinack, is to raise funds for the renovation of five classroom blocks that are in poor condition and could collapse at any time, endangering the lives of pupils.

At this function, Minister Muhwezi donated Ugx 5M out of over Ugx 10 Million that was raised to support the renovation of the school.
