RUKUNGIRI-The construction of classroom blocks at Rutoojo Model Primary School will be made possible by a donation of 50 bags of cement valued Ugx. 1.75 million from the Rukungiri Municipality Area Member of Parliament, Hon. Dr. Elisa Rutahigwa.
Yesterday Sunday, Hon. Rutahigwa donated the bags of cement to the school in Rutoojo cell, Rwentondo Ward Eastern Division, Rukungiri municipality, in order to fulfill a vow he made at the school fundraising function held in June of this year.
Hon. Rutahigwa said that he had made a promise to support schools in his constituency, which he has already begun doing as he handed the cement over to the school stakeholders.
He claimed that some of these schools require immediate attention, while others are not cemented and may become infested with jiggers.
According to Hon. Rutahigwa, if communities want children to grow up to be significant members of society, they should always see them favorably.
However, he said that the things he has done for his constituents during his tenure as an elected official have gone above and beyond what was accomplished in ten years, and he urged residents to vote for him again in 2026 in order to continue his work.
