North Kigezi Diocesan Bishop ends pastoral visit in Kashenyi Archdeaconry with a call to embrace coffee farming

NORTH KIGEZI DIOCESAN BISHOP ONESIMUS ASIIMWE

North Kigezi diocesan Bishop Onesimus Asiimwe ended his pastoral tour in Kashenyi Archdeaconry Ruhinda sub county Rukungiri district on Thursday with a call to all churches in the Archdeaconry to embrace coffee farming.

Bishop Asiimwe stated that he visited all six parishes in the Archdeaconry and was pleased to discover that all parishes have made good use of their properties by establishing business structures and cultivating coffee.

Bishop Asiimwe praised the parish priests and Christians throughout the Archdeaconry for their warm welcome urging them to work with him to support growth throughout the diocese.

He urged all Christians to cultivate a saving culture and to make use of the North Kigezi diocesan Sacco in order for it to be effective.

Ven. James Busingye the Archdeacon of Kashenyi Archdeaconry thanked all parishes in his archdeaconry for the warm welcome they gave to the bishop and his team.

He revealed that as Kashenyi Archdeaconry, they are now looking forward to expanding their church, planting more coffee and purchasing an Archdeaconry vehicle a company which is headed by Canon Benson Turamye.

During his pastoral visit, Bishop Asiimwe confirmed 269 Christians into Christianity. 

Bishop Asiimwe has finished two Archdeaconries, Kashenyi and Bwanga, and will be visiting more Archdeacons shortly.
