The Bishop of Kabale Diocese Rt. Rev. Callist Rubaramira has confirmed 108 Christians into catholic faith at Rwamagaya catholic parish in Ruhinda Sub County Rukungiri district.

While preaching during the mass, Bishop Callist asked the newly confirmed Christians to be true Christians.

Bishop Rubaramira also rallied Christians in Rwamagaya Parish to engage in income-generating projects to improve their livelihoods.

He continued by encouraging Christians to get involved in coffee production since it will enable them to escape poverty more rapidly.

The head of Rwamagaya Parish Council, Natuhwera Vanansio Bagateireyo, expressed gratitude to Bishop Rubaramira for coming to their parish to confirm Christians in the Catholic faith, as this lays a solid basis for the church.

Vanansio went on to say that rather than depending on Christians, they will embrace coffee production in the parish as recommended by the bishop because they have enough acreage for the activity and have a source of revenue.

According to him, the goal of Rwamagaya Parish is to obtain land titles for all of its properties by the end of this year.
